sometimes, when i try to type the word ” thanksgiving” it comes out “thanskgiving” . Hah!

I’m at Borders, sitting with my books and listening to Michael Buble radio on pandora. it. is. fanTASTIC. i’m also sitting around tons of people who are drinking things like “pumpkin lattes” or “gingerbread lattes”. and I’d LOVE one but. i shouldn’t. I need to practice some self-control. another day, latte, another day. :)

Last year, i did a countdown to thanksgiving day. I’m inspired by Kacy’s message at women’s retreat, about godly women having thankful hearts. AND, there’s never enough we can give God praise for. He is deserving of praise all the time. I love doing these because it’s like.. little treasures, you know? Like look at all the gifts i GOT! It’s also difficult to choose just 10, because there are so many things to choose from. Here goes another top 10 thanks to Thanksgiving. DISCLAIMER: not all of these are just from today, so :) enyoy

on Nov 20th I am thankful for:

  1. farmer’s last night with friends
  2. hummus & pita, cowboy cookies
  3. new boots
  4. coffee shops
  5. watching people at coffee shops; old people, people in love, couples
  6. prayer meeting & God’s provision for it
  7. worship
  8. no class on Fridays
  9. fall weather
  10. winter-y drinks, PEPPERMINT MOCHAS mmm :)

ahh thanksgiving is coming soon, i CANNOT wait. dude, God is so good. Kace said something at women’s that stuck with me too. Something along the lines of, the person who enjoys life will never be beat. A smart person, and a persistent person are admirable, but the one who enjoys life will succeed more than both of those.

Moreover, when God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work—this is a gift of God. 20He seldom reflects on the days of his life, because God keeps him occupied with gladness of heart.

Ecc 5:19-20

enjoy this beautiful life :)
