This morning some jehovah’s witnesses came knocking on the door, and my housemate answered it. They came bringing “good news” they said, and proceeded to ask my housemate all kinds of questions… also telling her that Jesus ISN’T God and that the Bible has all the answers to world hunger, poverty…

“do you think the government will be able to solve all those problems?”

“we’re not trying to convert anyone, just helping people find the answers.”

” well… have an open mind.”

hmm… sounded like their “good news” was that Jesus will solve all your problems and give you all the answers. But that’s not what it’s about, is it? they were really kind ladies, but it made me wonder… if i were the one standing there, what would i say?

“Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions ” Heb 4:2-4

Jesus, help me to know & hardcore believe the truth. Show me that You are who You say You are. Give me wisdom & discernment to know the truth so well, that i’ll know right away what is false.
